Avery Dennison is a materials science and manufacturing company specializing in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of labeling and functional materials. Our expertise and global scale enable us to deliver innovative, sustainable and intelligent solutions to customers all over the world.
In April 2020, Avery Dennison launched the Patched Together campaign, which offered a series of limited edition digital and physical patches that celebrate our healthcare heroes and encourage people to stay safe and be kind, with proceeds being donated to charitable organizations for pandemic relief.
In the continued spirit of being a force for good, The Black Employees Resource Group (BERG) at Avery Dennison held a Children’s Art Competition in 2021 to honor, engage and learn about the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., through the eyes of our employee’s children.
In collaboration with BERG, Avery Dennison RBIS has designed a collection of bespoke tote bags featuring winning artwork from our 2021 art contest. The artwork being featured was created by children of Avery Dennison employees from around the United States and in India, ranging from the age of 6 to 15.
All tote bag sale proceeds will go to Wilberforce University, the United States’ oldest private, historically black university, owned and operated by African Americans, located in Wilberforce, Ohio, not far from our Miamisburg facility! Join us in being #agentsofchange by purchasing your favorite tote bag.
To commemorate this project, a giant patchwork featuring all of the winner’s artwork will be on display in the Avery Dennison Mentor office, Ohio.
